The cross in the center of the shield is made from genuine New Guinea Rosewood and is surrounded by silver over a pewter core with an invisible hypoallergenic coating to protect the finish. New Guinea, located off of the northern coast of Australia, is the world's second largest island. The back of this dog tag has a smaller cross shape cut into the metal revealing the wood. Approximate size of the dog tag including the loop is 1 3/4 by 7/8 inches.
