Fresh Tea Caddy,known in Japan as chazutsu or chaire.Designed to keep tea fresh

traditional Japanese lacquerware, possibly from the Yamanaka region,which is famous for this craft,made from a type of wood such as Japanese Zelkova Elm or wild cherry tree bark,and finished with a lacquer coating.It doesn’t seem to be used at all and was an estate sale treasure.
