Chest width measured flat is 26" armpit to armpit. This is unusually wide for an XL. Note that Free People tends to run a size or two larger. Shorts Measurements: Shorts are 34" waist (measured un-stretched) - Strong 2" elastic waist band 14" rise (very high rise) - These shorts are short if you wear them pulled up. Very baggy if you wear them at your belly button.
