-Available is a hand made vintage art pottery footed round vase by Frankoma Pottery of Oklahoma.
-Incised mold mark of 22S on the bottom. This mold was introduced in 1962, but in 1975 the mold mark was changed to 22A. Thus this piece was made sometime between that time span.
-The glaze is a grayish white called White Sand. The bottom of the vase is glazed, but the feet show the red brick color of Salpulpa clay.
-Measures 5” wide and 4” tall. The bowl opening is 4” inches in diameter while the base is 3 1/2” across.
-Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. There are a few glaze pops (see pics). There is some crazing on the bottom of the pedestal and on the inside bottom of the bowl. (See pics).
-Perfect for display. Use as a vase or planter. Gift for Mother’s Day, birthday, holiday or housewarming.
-Frankoma Pottery was founded in 1934 by John Frank. Its products were made by hand from Oklahoma clay and had a mid century modern and Western vibe. The pottery closed in 2010. The molds were sold and a new shop was opened in Glenpool, Oklahoma, in 2022.
