Framed Embroidery Little Girl on Toilet Double Mat Elegant & Humorous 11.25" T

Dimensions Frame: approximately 11.25" tall x 10.5" wide Art: 6.5" tall x 5.5" wide My eye was drawn to this piece of needlepoint due to the deep orange mat (with just a sliver of the second green mat showing from beneath) but when I looked closer, I realized it's an embroidery of a little girl sitting on the toilet at home! Ha! This child's home has loads of embroidered character: hardwood floors, a porcelain pedestal sink, a four-paneled door, and nice wooden trim framing the doorway. A window with an orange and white polka dotted valence sits above the bathroom sink. There's also an orange throw rug in front of the sink. A towel bar holds a yellow towel and a single lightbulb--filled in with pale yellow thread so we know it's on--hangs from the ceiling. There's even a pull chain attached to the bulb. The little girl leans forward so that the viewer sees her head peeking around the corner. She has white socks and patent leather shoes on and a large blue bow sits in her blonde hair. Finally, there is a border of pink and turquoise cross stitches framing the bathroom, giving a nod to traditional embroidered pieces. I love all the detail! The frame is a dark brown wood with a raised detailed edge. It looks great with the embroidery. There is also protective glass and an attached hanger. This art manages to be both elegant and humorous. Condition: Except for some very minor wear / nicks on the wooden frame, this piece is in excellent condition. Crosslisted.
