Found a FOSSIL in my yard! 325 million years old? Crinoid Stem Sea Lily Flower

I found this Fossil in the creek behind our house. The chair of the geology department on campus said it is a Crinoid stem. She said “Crinoids are extinct members of the echinodermata phylum; this phylum includes sand dollars and other five-sided organisms. The fossil in your hand was a shallow water sea creature approximately 325 million years ago.” Crinoids are sometimes called Lilies of the sea, though they were animals not plants.
