Formal Dress

This dress is STUNNING in person! I got so many complements on it and I felt really good in it. I wore it for my 30th birthday Halloween party. Please read below for alterations. This dress was slightly too long for me, so I made a small home alteration to shorten it. The inner slip layer was trimmed and sewn up, although the stitching started coming out as the night went on. I’m 5’2” and wore about 2” chunky heels. It’s not a huge deal that the stitching came out since we did cut this layer. I’m sure someone handy could fold the slip up a bit and stitch it again if needed. The outer sequin/beaded layer was only folded under and stitched (not cut) — so with a little tailoring, the outside layer of the dress can be restored to its original full length. The alteration is not visible when worn since it’s underneath the beaded fabric and the black slip layer disguises it. The top of the dress was not altered at all! It zips up halfway then has a lace up back shown in the last photo. Feel free to ask more questions!
