Meaning I delete items after awhile if they don’t sell. Kind of like a museum. Gotta keep it fresh and seasonal. Having a good mix is good. Keeping layouts clean and clear. Neutral to no background noise. Only follow those with a good share history. Share your items routinely. Take a break. List your best first.

I have about 200 active listing max where most boutiques number in the 600’s and up. It works for me though since my style is niche and I’m just one person. It’s all a risk but I diversify selling on multiple sites and local boutique fairs so I keep product moving regularly.

cityfeathers @justsimplyfab when i became a stay at home I needed an outlet. Desperately. My mom hours were and still are weird so Poshmark helped fill the gaps. Give my days a productive rhythm. I spend about 20 hours on it all together a week. So more of a part time job/hobby. I work it into my day but there are times I’ll go completely dark and take a sanity breather. Just depends.

cityfeathers @cheaterann yep, 36 weeks and waddling! I think the trick, for me at least, it to just break up the look. Establish perimeters. I couldn’t pull off one pieces after 7 months which was fine. Woohoo. Join the cult. Get pregnant. Get pregnant. It really is a good experience plus everyone just wants to help you and treats you like a unicorn made of rainbows. 😂

I worked as buyer for department stores in the past so I keep up with those contacts and I’m licensed seller so there’s always newsletters and such and try to always go to conventions (which isn’t as fun now as I can’t indulge 😉). Also congrats on the nuptials. I didn’t realize it was so recent. Plenty of time to wet your roller coaster. I had my twins last June, so this will be número 3. I’m telling you once you start it’s like an assembly line 😂

I was pretty solitary before them but now I’m that creeper who likes to monitor their breathing as they sleep. I don’t shop for myself anymore but I got to the max when it comes to coordinating them. Grief I think is more about you than the other person. Lost opportunities. An end to anything else new happening between you. The finality guts you. so you have to carry on do the things that they enjoyed or might’ve enjoyed experiencing should they have lived longer.

But once I realized again that newborn primarily sleep I resumed Operation get rid of everything misc in case I bite it. Morbid. I know. But true. Stuff, if not for my kids, is really just stuff. cityfeathers @wendym198 I try too but getting back and forth to Chicago or the coast is harder now but very worth, if just for the quality control alone. I’ve gotten some great stock at crazy prices. Buying wholesale online is trickier. Manufacturers get lazy from one item to the next and I have to look over every seam and stitch. It’s annoying.

cityfeathers @wendym198 the majority of my shares aren’t actually from my closet. Sometimes I won’t share my full closet for days at a time. I share others about 90% of the time. Particularly fresh closets. I share whenever I get a spare moment. It’s easy to do since I have another newborn so it takes my mind off pumping/bfing 😂

cityfeathers @ebeeding well you might give selling a try. It’s been known to counteract any spending you might do rather with me or someone else. Every little bit helps. Plus, yeah, recycling! I’m a department store buyer in my 9 to 5 life and you wouldn’t believe the # of new clothes they throw away ea month. It’s enough to make a girl cry! Another reason I also do this so definitely buy posh if and when the mood strikes. It’s a great alternative!

cityfeathers @ebeeding donation centers are great too. Sadly when they are overwhelmed or don’t have enough volunteers they throw away too. Goodwill is infamous for this. Sorry to go on and on it’s just a topic that’s burns me. When donating I always go with veteran or children organizations. They get overlooked a lot and the items are always appreciated!

ebeeding @cityfeathers no need to apologize! I get it. It’s sad. I will keep this in mind next time I donate. I’m super passionate when it comes to anything with children. Sadly, I lost my 6 year old son just over 3 yrs ago, (August 2015), to brain cancer. With that being said, my husband & I go out of our way to donate/help sick children & their families. We do a 5K each year in my sons memory/honor & donate the proceeds to a local sick child & their family. I believe it is all part of God’s plan.

That shows extreme courage on your part and it’s a powerful way to honor your son. That makes me incredibly happy. I won’t go into details but I’ll say that the state only does so much for systemized children so every little bit truly brings life back into their eyes and spirits. Bless you for doing the good work where possible! Aka, no goodwill!

I was happy to see Trump has allotted 10 million $ to be spent on childhood cancer research/treatment over the next 10 years. Praying that w/these funds, our country comes up w/a new way to treat precious children fighting the unforgiving battle of cancer! Anyways, thank you for your words & all you do.
