No side zip. Let me double check on the hem and get back to you. Pretty sure it was cut but I can’t remember if it’s a wide hem which could possibly allow you to let it down a bit.

@futilityofkale Apologies for the delay. I added a photo of the hem. It’s a 1-inch folded hem, so the best you could probably get is about an extra half inch. But I’m no seamstress so I’m not 100% sure! Hope that answered your question, thanks!
