First Edition Will James: Home Ranch

First printing with the publisher’s “A” and seal on the copyright page. Comes with original promotional bookmark that accompanied at least some copies with a short introduction to the book on one side and a list of Will James’ books on the other. Bound in original rust colored cloth, tight spine, titles stamped in black on the front cover and spine, xi [3], 346 pp., preface, illustrations by Will James. Will James (1892-1942) was an artist and author focusing on the American West. One of his other works, Smoky the Cowhorse, won the 1927 Newbery Medal, a special award for achievements in children’s writing. A desirable, First Edition copy of Home Ranch, in pristine condition.
