When Ed traveled throughout Latin America he developed a great appreciation for the generosity of the people and the incredible beauty of Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. It was there he met the Chavajay family and has since worked closely with them to nurture and build this endeavor to fruition. The Firefly Mosaic Jewelry Design Studio is located in Oakland, CA. Edward co-designs the jewelry with lead designer, Juan Carlos Chavajay. Firefly Mosaic Jewelry designs are deeply inspired by nature, gardens and the rich colors of Guatemala. 
 Our designs are handmade in -. The workshop provides employment and training, comfortable working conditions and fair wages to the indigenous people of Santiago Atitlan. The men & women are handpicked artisans. We have taken many of the traditional skills (embroidery, weaving, etc.) and transformed them into jewelry making skills.
