This luxurious full length velvet shift dress in burgundy is a silk blend from Field Manor. It not only feels soft to the touch as velvet, the fabric is substantial, draping and moving beautifully. However, as a lifelong Chicago resident, I believe this is a vintage dress from Marshall Field's, a well-known company headquartered in Chicago that went out of business in 2006. I saw this brand there in my many trips to the flagship Marshall Field's store downtown. Also, the appearance of this dress changed with available light in photos. Likely the most accurate color is the cover photo. Some others were taken in bright summer sunlight, which is more than likely NOT the conditions you will see this dress. Questions?
