Fascinator / Headband, Black beads + black & white feathers on narrow black band

Make a statement wearing this Downton Abbey or Roaring 20's style headband. With black beads, plus black and white feathers, it can be worn on your forehead in traditional flapper style or up on the crown of your head in contemporary style. For this one I used a combination of black and white feathers on a narrow black headband. To anchor the feathers there is a black floral beaded applique that is 3 and 1/2 inches wide by 2 and 3/4 inches tall. That touch of pizzazz with the feathers emphasizes the Great Gatsby inspiration. It can be worn as a classic headband or across your forehead Roaring 20's Deco style. Either way is easy, lightweight, comfortable and chic. It is a simple but lovely accessory ready for you to slide on just like a headband. When you wear it on your forehead the end pieces fit nicely right above your ears. For the base I used a pre-made curved narrow headband. I covered the inside of the applique with soft black Ultrasuede fabric so it will feel comfortable however you wear it. You don't need to wait for a roaring 20's Flapper Gatsby style party to wear this. It would be a lovely accessory for going out to dinner worn with a simple Summer dress. It is the best kind of "one size fits all" head piece for most adult woman. Fascinators and headbands are the perfect choice for women who find many hats difficult to wear or don't think they look good in hats. Virtually everyone looks terrific in a fascinator headband.
