Farmer Couple Ceramic Teapot Set Mary Ann Baker Design Vintage

The teapots were made in the mold as figural teapots. One of the teapots is the granny and the other is the grandpa. They were made to look like a farm couple. The mold surrounds all sides of the teapots so they are unique in every direction. The teapots were coated inside and out with white glaze. The other glaze colors were hand painted on. Granny is wearing a peach colored dress with a blue ruffled apron that is decorated with a vegetable motif. Her hat is yellow with a green ribbon and bow and red flowers. She is holding a basket of just picked apples. Grandpa is wearing sapphire blue overalls and a lighter blue shirt. His hat is yellow with a caramel colored band. He is holding carrots in one hand and a bag in the other. As you can see in the photos both teapots are marked as display only teapots. The granny teapot measures 5 1/2 inches wide, 8 1/4 inches from handle to spout and stands 7 1/2 inches tall. The grandpa teapot measures 5 1/4 inches wide, 8 inches from handle to spout and stands 7 1/2 inches tall. Both teapots are in good vintage condition. There is some chipping in spouts. There is no loss to the glazes or colors used.
