This magical piece of Americana is a snowglobe that was provided by PolyGram Video as part of the release of Fargo by the Cohen Brothers. It depicts the woodchipper scene in the movie - which is why the water looks murky. Some of the pieces that represent snow in the globe are actually red instead of white and have changed the color of the water. The water can be changed out with a plug at the bottom if you want.
In the woodchipper scene, Marge is confronting the guy played by Steve Buscemi and asks "Is that your friend in the woodchipper?" I wonder if the white snow is instead supposed to represent woodchips flying around, especially since some pieces are red.
This snowglobe is in vintage condition. It doesn't have any flaws, but is ~30 years old.
It measures 3.25" in diameter at the bottom and is ~ 3.25" in height as well.
