Family set of three 1950s Turquoise Mexican Embroidered Tourist Jackets
These are iconic Mexican Tourist jackets were made for the tourists visiting Mexico around 1930’s to 1970’s. Adult, Child & Toddler size. They are a turquoise colored wool felt &/or embroidered various designs; cacti, jugs, sombrero, vaquero dancers, etc. The Adult jacket is circa 1950s and bears the "Lopez" label. Considering their age they are great condition. Some of threads are loose and have tiny holes, not noticeable & can be stitched over to blend in. A project I will never get to.
These jackets, meant to be worn open, always look great with jeans, skirts, and especially, with the vintage Mexican circle skirts.
