Fallout Mini Nuke container prop. This item is 3D printed in the colors shown and has been designed by 3d-Mon. It is a raw print that has not been finished. If you would like to further weather or age this item on your own, it will turn out perfect. This item is just under 10 inches tal and just under 9 inches wide. The top is hinged with a magnetic closure to keep the lid in place while closed. The interior is about 3.5 inches deep. This item is great to keep around a man cave, or gaming area and thrown in loose change or car keys or even to use it as a planter. Item is fully asembled and due to the nature of it being hadnmade, returns are not accepted.

Does paint hold onto it well, or would sanding and priming work better if I wanted to make it look distressed? I'm not familiar with filament types. Love this idea!

@bnana_fett Thank you for your question about this item. Filament is plastic, for 3D printing. It's basically melted to a pliable form and laid down in the shape of the print file. With an item like a helmet, you typically want to post process it where you sand and prime the item so it has very smooth finish. Something like this where it would be a relic or in a post apocolyptic world, imperfections are not a bad thing. I have used acrylic or spray paints to weather items like this many...

times. I often will use a black acrylic paint mixed with water to wash over it and then wipe away to create that dingy used look. You could wash over the entire thing like that and then after it dries use a "burnt umber" color to dab on areas for a rusty or sand blasted look as well. Paint works very well. All techniques are personal. Worse case, if you messed up you could just paint it over with a grey primer and start over.
