Passion Lilie’s item name: ODIN WRAP DRESS This striking wrap dress is made of high quality Indian cotton in a large geometric black and grayish handwoven ikat print. With pockets, a sturdy hook & eye closure at the bust, and pleats in the front for a comfortable yet flattering look. Ikat is over a 5,000 year old artisanal technique primarily from India and Indonesia. Ikat is done by marking off designs on long bundles of yarn, applying bands accordingly, then resist-dyeing sections of the yarns before weaving the fabric on a loom. The blurriness of ikat is indicative of the difficulty of aligning the threads to create the distinctive patterns.
