Fabulous Mother of Pearl Cameo Sterling Silver Brooch Pin - Antique Victorian Era An incredibly iridescent piece of mother of pearl has been hand carved to depict the profile of a woman with classic Greco-Roman features and flowing hair. The lovely cameo is bezel set in a sterling silver mount. It is marked "Sterling" on the reverse. there isn't a maker's mark. The pin clasp features a simple C clasp without safety, characteristic of the time. The brooch measures 1 5/16 inch (33mm) by 1 inch (25mm), and is 6mm at the deepest point. There is a bit of patina on the back of the setting and no damage. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The condition is excellent, this brooch is over 130 years old.
