Bourton is our iconic men’s country shoe - a heavy Derby shoe that bears the brogue detailing synonymous with true country shoes. A half bellows tongue is folded and attached to the shoe to provide a watertight seal, and the storm welt provides an additional watertight seal between the shoe's upper and sole. Kudu is a species of antelope and is indigenous to a variety of African countries. Due to their grazing habits, mainly amongst thorn trees, Kudu hide becomes scratched and scarred. These marks give the leather an inimitable character, making each pair of shoes and boots unique. Double leather soles are stiffer, wear much longer with more visual weight. Footwear with this sole literally have an extra layer of leather providing greater durability and comfort across rough surfaces.
