nfblanton @esant16 the mark on the bottom is to prevent store returns. All fryes have a pretty inclusive lifetime warranty- if something happens to them the company is pretty good about repairing- no questions asked! One of the reasons frye boots are such a great investment! ;)

nfblanton @mandyd38 hi! They're not specifically extended calf, but I have wider calves and they fit great over leggings/jeans for me. They measure about 15cm at the widest part of the calf. Hope that helps- let me know if you have any other questions!

searchseattle I am curious you indicate the calf is 15cm at the widest part? I guess I am unclear how you are taking the measurement since the calf is usually measured as calf circumference and if you can provide in inches that would prove helpful. I looked on Zappos site which has an size 8.5 with a 13 in circumference.
