In 2016, she "obsessively" (in her words) reimagined the power suit, bringing back the traditional women's skirt suit as she reflected on the complexity of the modern woman. The results were rich and multitextured. Her Milan fashion shows that year were lauded as "spectacular and provocative." This NWOT fully-lined gray suit skirt comes from that magnificent Prada FW16 collection. The skirt features thick black trim, gold topstitching, and belt loops, all tailored with military precision. These bold details give the skirt a confident, ready-for-battle look. The fabric is a complex weave of 100% wool that is predominantly gray with thin lines of blue and even thinner lines of red. This suit skirt has NEVER BEEN WORN and is truly unique; I’ve never seen another Prada design quite like it. (But it’s authentic. I bought it at Bergdorf Goodman.) FTR, I bought the matching jacket —got the full suit, but the jacket already sold, so the skirt is left, and it’s a beautiful “separate” fashionista piece all by itself.
