Exquisite 5+ Carat Golden Heliodor!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stone. I wish I had long ago set it in 18 or 24K yellow gold as a classy, gorgeous pendant. Alas, it is still sitting in my safe...:-( Heliodor is in the Beryl family, along with Aquamarine, Emerald and Morganite, which are all better known. But like its siblings, it is a hard and durable stone, 7.5-8 on the Mohs scale, and suitable for everyday wear in any kind of setting. It is often called the "Golden Beryl" or the "Golden Emerald". This beauty is eye clean (VVS), a beautiful light honey color, and unheated/untreated/unenhanced in any way. It is master cut in a cushion oval shape that shows off its luster. This Heliodor was mined in Brazil. It weighs 5.4 carats and measures 12.15 X 10.6 X 7 mm. Pictures don't do this stone justice. It is absolutely stunning.
