For that true vintage charm and style, this 42 inch bust Size Large Express Tricot beaded sweater, Made during the 1960's in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong, is your top pick. Black and waist length, it is accented with a 3-dimensional scattered design of white faux pearls. The exterior is a mix of 70% lambswool, 20% angora and 10% nylon. It is fully lined with a solid black lining. There are front buttons from the round neckline to the waist, so you can choose to wear this buttoned or open front style. Both versions are shown in these photos. It offers so much chic style in one versatile garment.
The white faux pearl accents are on the front and sleeves, but for comfort when you are sitting, the back side is solid black.
During my many years of collecting and wearing vintage, I have had many terrific beaded sweaters, however this is the first with beautiful white faux pearls. It is a superb twist on the classic evening sweater concept. The original owner had 2 of these, 1 Size Medium and this Size Large. The Size Medium is in another of my listings.
The "Made in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong" label proves this is a mid 20th century piece when Hong Kong was still a part of the United Kingdom.
