Lüfkas are completely plastic-free, non-toxic and only contain organic Babylonian Willow Bark fibers that grow in the oases of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Farmers trim willow tree branches and hang them to dry in the hot Mesopotamian sun. Our artisans strip the willow branches into long, thin fibers. These fibers are then placed in a loom and woven back and forth to produce our beautiful, diamond-shaped lüfkas.
