European-style Asian Influenced Intricate Moriage Koi Fish Bowl Planter This is a very unique and stunning European-styled Asian Influenced Intricate Moriage Koi Fish Bowl Planter. The bowl was made either in Europe or Asia. While moriage is traditionally Japanese, European potters—especially in Austria, Germany, and France—adopted similar techniques during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, blending them with Rococo and Art Nouveau aesthetics. It is made of thick and heavy porcelain. This piece has all of the European aesthetics with raised gold gilding throughout with floral designs interspersed and framed in Baroque, Rococo and Art Nouveau gold gilded flourishes. There are four intricately hand painted koi fish on the interior of the bowl as well. The bowl measures approximately 6.6" wide by 5" high and is in excellent condition with no visible anomalies. This piece would add such an elegant accent into any environment.
