Victorians believed that these stones of abiding love could connect with the spirit of a lost love. Today, we enjoy that passion and recognize garnets as the birthstone for the month of January. The Ethereal Garnet design measures approximately 19 inches, including the clasp. For more length/drape, there are matching necklace extenders available in my shop. This piece includes roughly 300 natural, earth mined garnet stones. The hex links and clasp are sterling silver plated over brass. I have added a high quality protective coating to the piece which will delay patina changes and limit skin contact reactivity for those with metal sensitivities for a time.
