Denise Guinn received her BA in chemistry from the University of California at San Diego and her Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University before joining Abbott Laboratories as a Research Scientist in the Pharmaceutical Products Discovery Research Group. In 1992, Dr. Guinn joined the department of chemistry at Regis University, in Denver, Colorado, as Clare Boothe Luce Professor, where she taught courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and the General, Organic, and Biochemistry course for nursing and allied health majors.
