This is one of my favorite patterns of vintage 1960's/70's Hawaiian fabric - it's so incredibly color saturated with deep jewel tones & has a beautiful mandala-like geometric pattern. Made out of acrylic crepe fabric (often called barkcloth because of the texture), this kind of fabric was wildly popular from the 1950's-1970's & made most often in Hawaii or Japan. The midi dress looks handmade by a skilled seamstress - it has a high empire waist with the bust & neckline outlined in black velvet trim, a long back zipper, a gathered skirt & short cap sleeves. Very good vintage condition. Estimate size X-SMALL/SMALL.
