The fabric print is an Indian block print inspired design with a co-ordinating block print design border.  These fabrics were very popular in England during the Empire Period & were imported to England from India as India was then a British Colony. Really beautiful! The fabric is soft luxurious cotton & the dress is fully lined in cream colored cotton muslin. The fabric in this dress is rare, precious & beautifully utilized in the design. It is highly collectible & exquisitely featured in this Regency style frock. Adorable co-ordinating border print banding adorns waist & neckline emphasizing the Empire Waisted shaping of the dress. There is a pretty horizontal tuck to decorate the skirt above the hem. A self tie belt inserted at side seams cinches the waist in & ties into a romantic bow in the back with the streamers hanging down.
