I'm pretty certain morganite is pink, or rose color depending on quality. Could you be talking about citrine here?

Emeralds can look like peridot. Citrine is quartz and can come in colors from pale yellow to amber like topaz. Amethyst is quartz and comes in pale lavender or deep purple, or even many shades of light green.. Wow a lot of different colors. It just depends on what other substances are in the crystal along with quartz It is almost impossible to tell what a stone is just by color...

Gemologists to school for years. There are many other properties of Crystal's that are more telling than color, hardness and light refraction are two you dont need special equipment to try. Quartz for instance, because of the way it refracts inside the stone, does not have much fire..fireworks od color like A cz. Emeralds and rubies have even less. Sapphire, peridot and garnet have more than quartz but not much. I dont know anything about ...

... morganite, but unless those stone are being photographed with special frequency of light, They are not citrine. Not trying to lecture. It is just that. if the stone looks beautiful to you and is in a beautiful setting (a good indication of a genuine stone), unless you are investing, who cares how it was made. These days labs can produce stones that have chemically identical to natural Crystal's and might by procedure that mimic nature.
