The image shows the CD "The Sky Is Crying: The History of Elmore James", a compilation of blues songs by the musician Elmore James, released in 1993. This album includes some of his best-known songs, including "Dust My Broom" and "The Sky Is Crying". The song "The Sky Is Crying" is a blues standard written and initially recorded by Elmore James in 1959. It has been covered by many artists, including Stevie Ray Vaughan. The song was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame in 1991. This disc came out of my dads ever so large collection comprised over a lifetime, he took excellent care of his media.
