Hi, the triangle part just stands on your chest because it is stiff enough that it does not fall down. It is lined with a stiffer fabric than the skirt so it stays in place. There is no tie or string that holds it up. That i what makes it so different. The little circles around the waist are cutouts so you can see skin. I have posted a close up picture of that area
