Pair of clips-earrings designed by Elizabeth Gage.
Gorgeous pair of vintage earrings, created in London by the British jewelry designer Elizabeth Gage, back in the 1989. These rare clip-on earrings has been carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. Designed with geometric Egyptians motifs and embellished with a pair of carved scarabs and applications of red enamel over a foiled guilloche surface. They are fitted at the reverse with comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done.
Jade: Mounted in the center in bezel settings, with 2 oval cabochon cut (15 x 12 x 8 mm) pieces of natural dark green jade, carved in the shape of Egyptians scarabs. They have an approximate weight of 19.44 carats.
Birthstone: Jade for the month of March.
Weight: 49.2 grams (35.54 Dwt.).
Measures: 36 mm by 31 mm (1.41 by 1.22 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with British marks; the mark of the lion for the city of London, the maker's mark EG associated to Elizabeth Gage, the letter P for the production year of 1989, the mark for the gold assay and signed in full, "GAGE .750 P. EG SGDG".
