Elegant Sara Roberts turn-your-head red coat

My favorite coat from the ‘90s to today. I strode around DC and Paris in this shoulder-padded military dress red stunner. It’s from Sara Roberts, the finest wool gabardine, has soft keep-your-hands-warm flannel pockets and sumptuous red silk lining. There is no size tag but I wore size 14 when I bought it. It is full length, a few inches above my ankles (I’m 5’5” now), was a true midi before I lost 2-1/2 inches in height. It had a hood that buttoned on but I never wore it so it’s been discarded. For that reason and one button (see photo) that needs to be sewn on, I’m lowering the price $20. The button is in the left pocket. Some woman who can wear knockout red lipstick will get headlines in this gem.
