Elegant Clear Glass Decorative Bowl

The item is a Jeannette Glass "Iris and Herringbone" depression glass bowl in a marigold carnival glass finish.  The pattern, produced by the Jeannette Glass Company, features a design of iris flowers and a textured herringbone pattern.  The original crystal version of the pattern was made from 1928 to 1932, with the iridescent carnival glass finish appearing later.  The bowl in the image has a ruffled or fluted edge, which is a common style for this pattern.  These bowls were often used as serving pieces for fruit or as decorative home items.
