Eisenberg Original Fur Clip, Pin or Brooch | Circa 1930-1940's | Vintage

Founded in 1914, Eisenberg & Sons started a business selling women’s clothing and later turned to costume jewelry design, manufacturing, marketing, and sales in the 1930s. A single brooch could cost a month's salary. Marked "Eisenberg Original" on the back (see photos). From circa 1935 to 1948, Eisenberg used a script or cursive “E” or “Eisenberg Original” to mark its pieces of costume jewelry. The back has a long pin with a claw closure. The back side pin runs horizontally, so it is better worn on fur, dress or a lapel. It does not work as a necklace. If you wish to wear as a necklace, you could take to a jeweler and have a necklace loop added. Approx. 3" L x 1" - 3" W This is a vintage Eisenberg brooch that was acquired from a larger collection at an estate sale. No missing stones noted but sold as vintage as is.
