They are very soft; feel like velvet . There is stretch to the fabric.. The color is a very dark gray almost black and the last 2 photos taken outdoors shows the fabric in daylight. The waist measures 20 inches and the pants are 41 inches long from waist. They are 97% cotton and3% spandex. Even though they are a casual style the richness of the velvet like corduroy make them suitable for a more dressy event as well.
