This book was published in the 1980s, and contains rare and unusual photographs of Japan from the 1880s-1890s timeframe. Some of the book is in English, and some is in Japanese. Captions for the photographs are both in English and Japanese. It is an exceptional book to have as a reference of life in Japan during the Meiji Period. Total pages 211. This book is in excellent preowned condition. There are no tears or handwriting. The interior pages are crisp and clean, and the binding is intact. There is some minor browning to the interior cover pages.
