This rare Early 20th Century Tuk-Away Butcher Block was handcrafted from solid wood. It features a round butcher block with four hand-carved rings on the side and rest on three peg feet. Intended for the countertop, this butcher block is hallmarked on the underside: Tuk -Away, Texas Mfg, Brenham TX.
These "Tuk-away" butcher blocks were made in Texas in the late 1800s through the early 1940s. The piece exhibits wear, cracks and repairs which is typical for its age and only adds to the charm of this old world butcher block.
Current Value: Due to their age and historical significance, they are considered sought-after collectible and are often sold as decorative items rather than functional cutting boards.
