Early 20th Century Antique JM WATERSON DETROIT Leather Upholstery Tack Hammer

Measures roughly 9” long in total, with a 5.5” wide head. “JM WATERSON DETROIT” engraved on side of hammer head. Upper part of shaft appears as though the user had “preemptively repaired” a crack in the neck area of the wooden handle; it appears to have multiple decades-old tape, and possibly glue, reinforcing an incomplete fracture…presumably to prevent a complete fracture. Could be used for practical application, or for an rustic industrial vintage aesthetic piece of decorum. Sold as pictured.
