EXTREMELY RARE 1997 Betty Boop Spice Girls Sweatshirt

In 1997 King Features Syndicates teamed up with the Spice Girls and designed the picture on this sweatshirt. They began production of this particular print but quickly stopped- rumored that it was a licensing dispute with the Spice Girls Manager. In 1998 this design was re released with the same pic but “Boop World” a play on the Spice Girls tour name that year- was printed under the pic and “girl power” was printed on the back. This is one of the few and now incredibly rare first runs of the 1997 release. I have searched the internet like crazy and cannot find any sweatshirts with this print- but there are a couple T-Shirts out there. I welcome feedback if anyone knows more. Had this all these years and only recently realized I may have the only sweatshirt like this left. This shirt is from my personal collection of Vintage Betty Shirts and yes I saw the Spice Girls in concert during the Spice World Tour. Lol!! This sweatshirt is in very good condition for being 28 years old- one call out is it does have light pilling due to age and being a medium weight sweatshirt. Also, I received a complaint that there is a stain near the front bottom near the waist band so I posted a pic of that area for everyone- please look closely at all pics as this is a vintage condition item. The shirt falls over the stain when it’s on so it’s very hard to see. Plus I’m old and don’t see well anymore.
