The color is black, but sometimes has a dark forest green tinge to it. Not sure if it's due to fading or how the leather has aged. This bag is 27 years old! -interior is in excellent condition, very clean. -piping is beautiful Any repairs, cleaning/conditioning products used, dunking, etc: ✔️ Sprayed with distilled white vinegar as mold prevention ✔️ leather cleaned with Lexol and conditioned with Bick 4, then buffed with horsehair brush ✔️ Interior was vacuumed out and cleaned with mild soap and water
