EUC Royal Haegar Speckled Duck Planter

Vintage Royal Haegar light brown and textured with white speckle splatter or popcorn style called a lava glaze. A terrific find and fantastic piece. These duck planters are marked Royal Haegar on the bottom which dates them between 1938 and 1944 when Royal Hickman was Haegar’s chief designer. They actually came in pairs one duck looking down, such as this one and one more upright. I thing they are great single or as a pair. I think he would look really cute with different holiday bows or ribbons around his neck to keep him in the decor of each season. He has no structure chips or cracks, however the texturing has made bubbles which have popped over time with age called glazed chips (See photos) This does not take away from his loveliness and charm.
