The posts are screw-in style for added security. When screwing them in, you’ll notice that the tightest fit is at the mid-range of the adjustable length. I had these inspected today by a jeweler as part of a blanket examination of all of my jewelry, which I am selling for medical and financial reasons. No flaws were noted and they were deemed in resaleable condition. They have been cleaned and are ready to go! My pricing is based on conversations I had today. Re: my appraisal document: please note this is my original appraisal from March 2008. For insurance purposes now, I would insure at $2250, not at $1500 due to inflation and differences in gold prices. Replacement value *could* be as high as $2500, but I am shooting a bit lower.
