This is a Vintage ESSO 1952 New York City & Vicinity souvenir map Scarf made of synthetic material. ESSO (Standard Oil of New Jersey, ExxonMobil, Mobil) made many paper souvenir maps, but this is a rare synthetic Scarf that was given to Esso company executive wives so they’d have more knowledge about how to get around New York City while visiting. On one side is a 30 mile area map of metro New York with landmark photos. The other side is a sightseer's map of lower Manhattan and transit map of the subway & elevated lines. Around the border of the map is an index to streets, hotels, theaters, stores, buildings, parks, churches, transportation terminals, etc. Also listed are descriptions of museums, zoos & more! Condition: Like New, never used. Measures: 32” x 34” Features: • Excellent weight and feel of this synthetic scarf map using the “Glo-vure™️ Process” • 30 Mile area map of Metropolitan New York showing through routes and principal streets. • Legend clearly explaining all map symbols. • Sightseers map of Lower Manhattan with index to streets, hotels, stores and other attractions. • Descriptive text of tourist attractions. • Rapid Transit Map showing Manhattan subway and elevated lines. • How to find streets near avenue addresses in Manhattan. This is “A Langseth-Christensen Creation” based off of a map created by General Drafting Co. See Photos for more details! From a Pet Free, Non-Smoking environment.

visioninlight Hello! I am having difficulty reading the images. Would you please tell me if any of this is in another language? Would you happen to know where it is made? Thank you, Wendy

aspiring @visioninlight I apologize for the old photos! I will need to update the megapixels with new ones. I should’ve checked to see what these looked like on my cell with zooming in. Unfortunately I do not know at this time where this scarf was made, but I will look into it for you and respond to you later today when I can access it. I hope that’s ok. Thank you for your interest and happy Poshing! 😊🙏🏻🌸
