Plated Hickok U.S.A. gold cufflinks feature pyrite & turquoise chips encapsulated in a clear-view cabochon in a bezel setting. Each measure 3/4-inch-wide x 2-inches long, pre-owned, these cufflinks are in great shape on the front, but have chipping of the plating on the rims. ● The mineral pyrite, or iron pyrite is also known as fool's gold. Pyrite's high specific gravity, metallic luster and pale brass-yellow hue give it a superficial resemblance to gold which often cause it to be mistaken for gold by inexperienced prospectors. Gold weighs about one and a half times more than pyrite.
