EDITH HEMPEL Romantic White Pearl, Mother-of-Pearl, and Sterling Silver Bracelet

This pre-owned, artist made, women's bracelet features three strands of small, round white pearls. The strands are connected by sterling silver metal bars at each end, leading to a toggle clasp. A central square-shaped sterling silver embellishment with a raised, mother-of-pearl cabochon is positioned in the middle. Edith Hempel was a respected artisan in jewelry and metalwork. Her work is generally described ad Mid-Century Modernist, characterized by simple, elegant designs that emphasize the natural materials. The pearls are in good condition, show good luster with no signs of peeling or dullness. The back of this central piece shows visible surface scratches and an etched inscription S/S Hempel. The bracelet measures approximately 7.5 inches in overall length.
