This is Early American Pressed glass (EAPG) in the AZTEC pattern by National Glass Company (McKee & Bros. Works) (Jeannette-PA, Operated: 1899-1904) This dish was Introduced in 1903. The dish is a beautiful piece of early American pattern glass. It showcases sawtooth edging, pinwheels, and Aztec stars. This item served as a pickle or olive dish. It measures 7 x 4.25 x 1.5 inches and is in perfect condition, marked Pres Cut on the bottom center of glass. Fact: It is the widespread practice, of exposing EAPG directly to the sun for an extended period of time thus turning the glass artificially purple. The color change to purple is irreversible.
