Large decorative tin with 'Der Groffe Mardt in Nurnberg Schmidt' label on the lid. This pre-owned tin is empty, but once held Nurnberger Lebkuchen (cookies or biscuits, empty boxes present). The lid and the 4 sides of this tin have an artist's rendition of 1800's style city scenes. The bottom of the tin is embossed 'E. Otto Schmidt Lebkuchen und Honig 8500 Nurmberg 1984 Made in W. Germany” The dimensions of this piece are 16 3/8" x 11 5/8" x 7" tall. It is pre-owned and has a few minor scratches in the decorative surfaces. Contained within the tin is a booklet “ The Story of Nurnberger Lebkuchen', 2 3/4" x 2" wooden lebkuchen molds of Christmas tree and Shepard ( new in original packaging), 6 empty original cookie/biscuit boxes and one art work of Nuremberg scenery.
